Professional Background
With more than 25 years of experience in building inspection, code compliance, historic preservation, housing rehabilitation, ordinance development, and municipal consulting, I provide independent advisory services for property owners, contractors, municipalities, preservation organizations, and investors.
My career has combined field inspection, municipal administration, ordinance development, historic preservation, education, and community revitalization, providing a broad understanding of both modern regulatory requirements and traditional building practices.
City of Hastings, Minnesota

Responsibilities included:
- Conducting residential and commercial property inspections
- Investigating code compliance concerns

Major accomplishments:
- Developed and implemented the City's Rental Housing Inspection Program in accordance with City ordinances and the International Property Maintenance Code (ICC-IPMC)
